This whole thing: Eric’s revenge plan requires Sookie’s participation, but it has to be unwilling or Russell will see right through it; YET, he doesn’t really want to use her.
I LOVE THE WRITING ON THIS SHOW. It’s a lose-lose or, considering what happened in 3.12, a win-win from Eric’s perspective.
Eric thought to ask Sookie to help him that’s why he went at Jason’s in 3x10, to ask her help, to work with him. HIM Eric, 1000 years, went ASKING help to Sookie, human, 26 years…i don’t know if people ever realized how BIG this step was for him.
And guess who screwed up everything by not telling the truth AGAIN? Beeeell. Tipical. He must die.
I agree. You can tell how much effect Sookie has had on him. S1 Eric wouldn’t have thought twice about using her and pre The BSS he probably would have too. After he got blood into her his motives changed. By the middle of s3 he had totally re-arranged his motivations. No one can say he wasn’t thinking about her or her feelings and well been it was our resident douche Beel that fucked everything up totally and for one wish a stake would meet his chest
